The Hy-Gain V-4R 70 cm antenna is a collinear, dual ⅝-wave, omnidirectional vertical antenna for the 400-475 MHz frequency range.

  • Two sets of ¼-wave radials which properly decouple the lower ⅝-wave radiator from the mast.
  • A 500W enclosed coil matches the antenna to a nominal 50Ω.
  • A high-quality "N" type connector feedpoint protected from the weather within the lower radiator.
  • The ruggedized design is suitable for personal use, repeater, and packet BBS service.
  • A mast-to-mast bracket accept up to a 2" O.D. mast.
  • DC Ground Lightning protection.
  • It can also be used outside of the 70 cm Amateur band.
  • Graphs are supplied so that the antenna can be set to any frequency between 400 MHz and 475 MHz.
